The federal Weatherization Assistance Program began in 1976 in response to the energy crisis. The U.S. Department of Energy provides funding for the program. In Texas, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs administers the funds through a network of agencies that provide weatherization services in every county in the state.
Please Join TACAA at our 2022 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas. The dates are May 18, 19 and 20th and will be hosted at the Menger Hotel downtown in the Alamo District.
TACAA provides training and technical assistance including an annual conference offering continuing education and webinars, Results Oriented and Management Accountability (ROMA) trainings to Community Action Agencies and other Community Service Block Grant recipients in Texas.
We are a network of Community Action Agencies speaking with a unified voice for our region. Our association is a training and technical assistance platform for Community Action Agencies and Associations in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
